Leading global developer of innovative specialty materials and components that enable technology in a wide array of high-growth markets has this immediate need.

Company is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer for the Advanced Electronics Solutions Division For its California territory. The candidate will work remotely from a home office and preferably be based in California.

Successful candidate will expand Company’s Advanced Electronics Solution Division’s materials market presence in Sales Territory, increase the sales of AES materials by directly managing the customers that are strategic to long-term success, and actively work to both develop/maintain long-term relationships between these customers and Company personnel. Position will report to the Sales Manager for the region.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal person for this role will bring a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, intimate PCB and laminates knowledge/experience, proven specialty circuit material sales experience, including successful interface directly with OEM's, fabricators and assemblers at all levels within those environments.  Must be a truly self-driven, self-starter and possess a personality/articulate communication skills to immediately have customers see and feel the value being offered.  Must be adept at asking the right technical questions, have the listening skills to truly understand customer needs, and the ability to cement relationships by offering on-target/effective solutions.  This person must be capable of learning company products/applications quickly and be able to utilize their relevant industry sales engineering success to effectively hit-the-ground-running.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively manage key customer accounts to achieve sales growth objectives and identify significant sales opportunities

  • Create defined sales plan to meet/exceed metrics for revenue growth, operating profit, and market share within a competitive and emerging application technology market

  • Provide expertise/leadership in winning new business for a specific geographic territory and work closely with customers/other members of the Advanced Electronics Solutions team as needed to win new business

  • Participate effectively in the sales planning process, which includes writing Tactical Action Plans, Territory Sales Plans, Customer Intelligence Reports and updating forecasts as directed by sales management

  • Provide timely/accurate submission of sales forecasts, territory growth projections, and sales reports to support the demand planning process

  • Work closely with the AES material fabricators in the territory to provide the support required to ensure Company is their material of choice for High Frequency material applications

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on competitive activities

  • Drive profitable sales growth and market coverage through value selling

  • Initiate, maintain and grow influential client relationships with key accounts in the territory

  • Ensure highly efficient communication and teamwork with regional Sales Managers, Technical Service, Global R&D, Product Development, Marketing, Customer Service, group functions, and all external interfaces

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 3 to 7 years’ relevant industry experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers without direct supervision

  • Experience in direct technical sales of specialty circuit materials with a proven track record of increasing sales

  • Experience in working with and/or managing global accounts (directly and indirectly) – OEM’s, fabricators, and assemblers

  • Experience in CRM and Demand Planning processes and tools

  • This position requires significant daily travel within the sales territory, and roughly 25% overnight travel

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER-SPECIALTY CIRCUIT MATERIALS

(EAST COAST OF U.S. - REMOTELY BASED)

Company is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager.  The candidate will work remotely from a home office and preferably be based in the eastern US time zone.

The Key Account Manager maintains/expands relationships with strategically important large customers.  Assigned to the Companys’ largest global accounts, will be responsible for account planning, achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.  Represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.  Growing customer and creating opportunities and thereby satisfying customer and generating profitable sales.

Suggested territory size: $10-$50mm/year annual account coverage

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively manage key customer accounts to achieve sales growth objectives, identify significant sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction  

  • Develop/maintain close contact/relationship with key client personnel to facilitate information flow

  • Provide direct sales/account coverage of assigned territory to meet/exceed plan forecast

  • Create defined sales plan to meet/exceed metrics for revenue growth, operation profit and market share within a competitive and emerging application technology market

  • Seek out new sales opportunities and new applications through use of industry media, client contacts, channels/distributors and marketing activities

  • Provide timely/accurate submission of sales forecasts, territory growth projections and sales report to support the demand planning process

  • Provide expertise/leadership in winning new business for a specific geographic territory & work closely with customers and other members of the ACS team as needed to win new business

  • Monitor, analyze and report on competitive activities

  • Drive profitable sales growth and market coverage through value selling

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • BS in Business Administration (or similar)

  • 3-7 years’ industry experience

  • Three or more years’ sales/account/program management experience within a relevant industry with a proven track record of increasing profitable sales and market share

  • Experienced in CRM and Demand Planning processes and tools

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers without direct supervision

  • Requires travel within the sales territory and roughly 25% overnight travel

  • Strong organization, planning, interpersonal, communication skills

  • Strong analytical mind, ability to properly assess situations and systematically act upon opportunities

  • Strong negotiator and capability of building high degree of credibility

  • Energized by developing networks and strong commercial acumen

  • Full accountability and good sense for finance (budget, P&L)
