Company’s flagship Innovation Center is located on Northeastern University’s Innovation Campus in Burlington, Massachusetts.  The Innovation Center’s goals are to address global challenges in telecommunications and connectivity, energy storage, sustainability, and advanced mobility through the development of commercially viable breakthrough technologies. Company’s research laboratories are configured to perform state-of the art R&D programs.  As a senior member (at the Associate Research Fellow level) of the Innovation Center’s technical team, you will help to set the Company’s technical vision for advanced mobility and lead solid-state and Li-ion battery research and innovation. 


This is an individual contributor role, however, there are several others who work in the battery lab that this person would mentor, guide and give direction to.

As a Sr. Chemist for the Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) business, you will be responsible for product development, which is the development of formulations for various applications, product support, sales support, product recommendation, and customer support and interaction related to different types of thermoplastic elastomers such as TPS, TPV, TPO, and other alloys and blends.


The right candidate for this role will leverage strong innovation, project leadership, and technical problem-solving skills, to create new products and to continuously improve existing products and processes.   • On a daily basis, develop/improve/customizes TPE products, formulas, processes, and test methods to meet customer requirements

  • Partner with the Sales Team to work directly with customers on matters relating to material development, performance, & troubleshooting

  • Define product performance requirements, manufacturing methods, cost structure for new products

  • Work with internal/external suppliers to keep up with the latest developments in polymer, additives, and process technology

  • Characterize samples via various analytical techniques and develops equivalent compounds, formulates and tests compounds against customer specifications

  • Provide support to Application Development, Sales & Marketing, and work directly with customers

  • Support Manufacturing and Quality Control on quality compliance, troubleshooting, specification development, test method development, scale up trials, process optimization, etc.

  • Write technical papers/reports and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, formulas or tests

  • Active use of R&D supporting tools



  • Masters or recent Ph.D. in Polymer Science/Engineering or Materials Science/Engineering required

  • Requires 5+ years’ experience in product development of polymer compounds (preferably thermoplastic elastomers)

Company is looking for a Sr. Chemist – Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPV), based in their Leominster, MA facility responsible for R&D and technical support of TPV products for markets such as Automotive, Industrial, Consumer to name a few.



  • Working at a leading global TPE and TPV supplier, apply your structure-property and polymer processing knowledge to help in the creation of new product opportunities while working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment

  • Partnering with the Company’s Global Commercial team, work directly with Customers and OEMs on matters relating to material development, performance, and troubleshooting



  • BS/MS in Polymer Chemistry/Materials Science

  • 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in the product development and processing of polymer compounds (TPV’s desired, or reactive extrusion compounding, but will consider any TPE)

  • Hands-on extrusion and experience with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) involving auto, industrial and consumer products.  Extrusion experience is key, is this role involves working to solve problems faced by customers who are extruding Company’s product to make parts

  • Strong PC, lab equipment/instrumentation/software experience

  • Effective, customer-facing communication and technical service skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally

Innovative leading designer/manufacturer of advanced electronic display products for a very wide range of industries has this immediate need!


Reporting to the AVP of Operations, the Director of Quality ensures compliance of all Quality Systems and ensures Company products meet specifications. This person is the voice of the Company’s customers.



  • Lead the Quality Organization of 10-15 Program Managers, Engineers, Technicians, and Systems Administrators across multiple sites   

  • Drive and support cross-functional teams (including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales & Applications Engineering, and R&D) to resolve complex product performance issues

  • Lead ISO ongoing compliance with a strong working knowledge of key requirements

  • Develop and improve process flows, SOPs, forms and instructions to help streamline working practice and reduce cycle times

  • Lead and support material and process qualifications, DOEs, variance analyses, process capability studies, hypothesis testing, and control charting

  • Support the development and ongoing management of internal and external specifications.  Support supplier and customer specifications and contract discussions

  • Act as the point person for customers and external bodies to ensure continued compliance to specifications and applicable standards

  • Drive product and system Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report the results to management

  • Support QS training, benchmarking, and sharing of best practices across projects and organizations

  • Support life-cycle planning and implementation discussions

  • BS/MS in Chemistry or an Engineering discipline. Quality Certifications desired

Company seeks to utilize your technical skills to supply data analytics and statistical analysis to the organization and use scientific methodology to further understand and execute identified projects to drive continuous improvement in the operation.


  • In addition to a BS in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of proven/relevant experience (based upon the needs described below), must have had experience with transforming a 100+ manufacturing division by running value stream mapping projects with Manufacturing employees across different areas, engaging these teams as to why it is necessary and be able to prove a reduction in waste or increase in flow or line speed and then do visual mapping and meet KPI’s.



  • Using Lean Manufacturing skills and an understanding of the eight wastes, lead optimization project teams while balancing improvements in any one waste against the other categories. Design efficient systems that integrate workers, information, machines, energy, and materials to make products that satisfy customer requirements.   Utilize A3 methodology for project planning and execution

  • Coordinate with operations to minimize production issues/costs while ensuring products meet quality standards. May design/develop/maintain manufacturing routes to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and space

  • Utilize a high level of applied statistics in work. Able to design/execute/analyze complex trials using Design of Experiments (DOE) for laboratory and process applications.  Utilizes, correlation, ANOVA and regression analysis to establish relationships, identify opportunities, determine root causes and predict effective corrective actions

  • High level of computer literacy to support data analytics. Must be able to create complex, custom queries involving multiple SQL databases to create datasets for problem solving.  Must be capable of using sophisticated statistical software to run statistical analysis such as Minitab, R, Statistica and/or Excel Data Analysis ToolPak

  • Conduct trials on pilot and production equipment to establish process definition for new processes. Guide mistake proofing and process capability trials on production equipment to scale-up new products, processes and materials.  Utilize the concepts of design for manufacturing

  • Understand/utilize the principals of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) in establishing test plans and manufacturing instructions. Able to act as team leader, facilitator or quality representative of Design or Process FMEA (dFMEA / pFMEA).  Understands how to evaluate risk utilizing criticality standards and how to apply appropriate tactics and resources to prevent or detect failures before they arise

  • Troubleshoot processes in response to process upsets and customer complaints. Determine root cause and implement corrective action 

  • Familiar with various analysis tools and capable of leading cross functional teams for current state / future state mapping, problem analysis, cause and effect diagrams and brainstorming sessions

  • Support ISO compliance with a heavy focus in the areas of product realization and in measurement, analysis and improvement. Create ISO procedures for new processes and test methods.  Audit existing processes for conformance to requirements 

  • Maintain knowledge of process and equipment technology within Company and industry. Research new process technology through literature search and vendor contact to introduce new technology to the company.  Implement procedures or technology as necessary to maintain consistency with other Company facilities and equipment

  • Recommend, or propose implementation of new process control or technology to improve Company manufacturing capability and systems

  • Train management, operators, team members and customers on procedural issues. Prepare and present seminars on technical processes.  Travel to customers, and vendors when necessary

  • Monitor company databases to identify needs and support potential projects

  • Correspond with vendors/suppliers/Company personnel via phone or electronic communication systems

  • Attend various meetings, i.e. operations meetings, Kaizen, townhalls, etc.

Company is looking for driven, talented, and experienced R&D engineer to join their R&D Platforms team in leading and executing technical work to advance the team mission of creating new business through new product and service development.  Projects will focus on process and product development activities related to Company’s extensive product line as well as new business areas.





  • Under the direction of the Group Leader, the Principal R&D Engineer will work closely with the team to drive all aspects of the development process including conceptualizing, digital modeling, prototyping, analysis (physical and simulation), presenting to customers and colleagues, researching manufacturing techniques, go-to-market implementation, and manufacturing support.  In addition to the candidate’s primary projects, the candidate will be expected to support projects led by others

  • Extensively utilize research and experience to develop new products and processes to increase performance or advance fundamental research within a major product or technology area

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, on time, well documented and within budget to meet business and customer objectives

  • Seek out others to enhance and streamline development and decision making

  • Ph.D. with 6+ years plus, deep theoretical knowledge, and demonstrated technical judgment/accomplishments in Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with manufacturing processes/equipment in an industrial or research setting. Must have strong experience in the areas of CAD, Engineering Analysis and Prototyping

  • Must possess a body of technical work commensurate with their years of experience including but not limited to: demonstration of familiarity with statistical tools, data analysis, and drawing conclusions based on a collection of basic data and interpretation 

  • Project leadership including project management, team collaboration, and oral and written communication skills are required

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge in HSE
