SUPPLY PLANNING SUPERVISOR-MEDICAL DEVICE DISTRIBUTION ENVIRONMENT {Location is MA}:  Global leading medical device distributor has this immediate need.

Supervise/coordinate the Materials Department resources required to support the Department goals and Corporate business plan.  Position is critical to the organization and its commitment to provide every Customer, both internal and external end-users, the highest quality products/services in the Industry.

  • Support Materials Manager in the development/enforcement of processes/procedures that ensure compliance with Company purchasing policies and FDA regulations.
  • Supervise/ensure planning parameters are consistently updated according to the organizational plans/marketing recommendations.  Report/measure the Top 400 list on regular basis to ensure PO coverage and stock availability.

  • Report/monitor the Materials Department's cost savings projects.   • Work closely with Accounts Payable department to research/resolve invoice issues.
  • Oversee the process Buyer/Planners complete to ensure coverage for product through its life cycle.  Responsible for new product introductions, planning parameters, promotions, forecast projections, trending analysis, maturity and product decline.  Manage/train on data integrity and planning parameter maintenance.
  • Manage/monitor vendor performance in SAP on regular basis.  Generate Vendor Reports on quarterly basis.  Complete all necessary Corrective Action/Preventative Plans.  Conduct Vendor site audits consistent with the general duties of this position.

The Company is headquartered in Manchester, PA, however, this role can be based remotely, with travel into Corporate whenever necessary.  At present, the great majority of business is based in the Northeast & Southeast of the U.S. and Ontario.  The President’s business plan includes expanding business nationally first, with global outreach to follow.  As a result, this will be a highly visible role, providing this person the opportunity to place his or her “stamp” on this effort in a major way.

5+ years of experience in technical product business development.  Experience within the plastics industry is ideal and preferred.
A BS degree within a technical discipline or Business is a valued plus, as is an MBA (although proven, related sales success would certainly outweigh these needs.
The Company would prefer someone to be based remotely somewhere in the eastern half of the U.S., preferably somewhere on the East Coast, with access to a major airport.

LEAD CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER {LOCATION IS COLUMBIA, MD}: Global leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals and catalysts for the refining and petrochemical industries has this immediate need!

Company is seeking a Lead Capital Projects Manager oversee large strategic projects. The initial assignment will be to oversee the execution of the development, design and construction of the $65MM capital project in Albany, OR (called Project Willamette). Manager will lead the team to manage and build a brownfield plant expansion and manage the project scope, cost, schedule and quality to meet stakeholder expectations. The permanent location will be Columbia, MD, however, other initial locations that can be considered are Baton Rouge or Albany, OR.

Manage project scope, cost, schedule and quality to meet stakeholder expectations.
Ensure projects meet safety and quality standards both in design through execution.
Ensure projects are designed/installed using sound engineering principles and in accordance with national codes and standards as well as Corporate wide procedures and standards.
Ensure necessary project procedures/policies are developed/implemented/adhered to by team.
Work with outside project advisory consultant to ensure that project is executed using best practices.  Identify/close gaps in project execution methods to ensure project delivers scope on schedule and budget.
Coordinate/manage changes to project scope or execution plan with project team, contractors, and capital project steering committee.
Manage project team, including contractors, to ensure their effectiveness.
Coordinate with Supply Chain organization to ensure that procurement plans are developed and executed in compliance with Company policies and applicable laws.  Ensures procurement process delivers value to Company.
Effectively communicate project status, issues and risks to all stakeholders, including the executive leadership team.
Assist in the review/evaluation of project management documents, specifications, design deliverables, equipment procurement and contracted services.
Ensure project deliverables and documents are retained, organized and delivered to the plant operations at the conclusion of the project.
Lead/participate in various project and kickoff meetings throughout project life cycle.
Requires approximately 50% travel and will require the project manager to be onsite during the key phases of the project.

BS Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
10+ years’ U.S.-based experience managing capital projects of > $60MM for an owner company in the chemical industry, to include leadership of direct or indirect personnel of 20 or more.
Must be entirely capable of wearing many hats, as this is an individual contributor role in which many of the functions will need to be performed personally.
Highly effective communication skills.
Must be able to empower, engage, inspire and develop project teams/indirect reports.
Proven experience with approving project purchases, contracts and forecasting project costs.
Ability to travel to Company sites in Oregon, Baton Rouge.
Ability to partner effectively with refining/petrochemical industry partners.

This role will work closely with the Company’s Electrical, Systems and Mechanical Engineering teams on activities related to the design, development, testing and/or support of software for our products. This position works within a 6 person Software Engineering Group and reports to the Director of Software Engineering.

Develop software for a variety of applications, including user interface development, algorithm development & implementation, error handling, connectivity and control, embedded processing, test and analysis tools, etc.
Create requirements and specification documents.
Create and execute unit tests as part of software validation efforts.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including pairing with other engineers to solve complex problems.
Investigate the feasibility of new projects, systems, or approaches.
Apply state-of-the-art methods in creating software systems.
Develop improvements to existing designs.
Apply the principles of software configuration management, software life cycle, and software maintainability.
Provide technical support for product research, design and development, integration, and testing.
Create product use cases, story boards, and interaction process flows; develop software architecture and code to support user interactions.
Support usability testing and human factors engineering, including working with customers to create and refine robust user interfaces.
Assist in debugging existing designs and in developing reliability improvements for the same.
Follow Design Control SOPs for projects and programs, including following the software development lifecycle.

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in software engineering and development under design controls require. Medical device experience preferred, and other highly regulated industries considered (i.e. aerospace, automotive).
This is not a data only role.  This role requires proven experience with C Sharp, Win-Forms and WPF, and hands-on development and sustainability experience, with ability to articulate that experience and describe what you have done with examples during an interview.
Ability to work independently or in small teams.
Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Solid understanding of Object-oriented programming and Multi-threaded Architecture.
Product Development experience with Microsoft Windows,.NET framework using Visual Studio, minimum 2 years’ experience in C#
