SUPPLY PLANNING SUPERVISOR-MEDICAL DEVICE DISTRIBUTION ENVIRONMENT {Location is MA}:  Global leading medical device distributor has this immediate need.

Supervise/coordinate the Materials Department resources required to support the Department goals and Corporate business plan.  Position is critical to the organization and its commitment to provide every Customer, both internal and external end-users, the highest quality products/services in the Industry.

  • Support Materials Manager in the development/enforcement of processes/procedures that ensure compliance with Company purchasing policies and FDA regulations.
  • Supervise/ensure planning parameters are consistently updated according to the organizational plans/marketing recommendations.  Report/measure the Top 400 list on regular basis to ensure PO coverage and stock availability.

  • Report/monitor the Materials Department's cost savings projects.   • Work closely with Accounts Payable department to research/resolve invoice issues.
  • Oversee the process Buyer/Planners complete to ensure coverage for product through its life cycle.  Responsible for new product introductions, planning parameters, promotions, forecast projections, trending analysis, maturity and product decline.  Manage/train on data integrity and planning parameter maintenance.
  • Manage/monitor vendor performance in SAP on regular basis.  Generate Vendor Reports on quarterly basis.  Complete all necessary Corrective Action/Preventative Plans.  Conduct Vendor site audits consistent with the general duties of this position.

The Company is headquartered in Manchester, PA, however, this role can be based remotely, with travel into Corporate whenever necessary.  At present, the great majority of business is based in the Northeast & Southeast of the U.S. and Ontario.  The President’s business plan includes expanding business nationally first, with global outreach to follow.  As a result, this will be a highly visible role, providing this person the opportunity to place his or her “stamp” on this effort in a major way.

Generate leads through networking, trade shows, personal contacts, cold calling and internet searches.
Educate prospective customers on the DuraPET value proposition.
Aid prospects in the technical evaluation of DuraPET and other Company products.
Develop strong relationships with people at all levels of prospective customer companies.
Prioritize opportunities and focus on those most likely to generate revenue.
Negotiate pricing with new customers.  Meet or exceed sales targets.

Company realistically expects, based upon volume of potential new customers, to secure enough new business to deliver $1 million in annual sales, at acceptable margin rates, within the first 8 months.
Ability to articulate the DuraPET value proposition to prospective customers.
Strong contacts/ networking skills to be used within the plastics industry to generate interest.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to assess, organize and prioritize prospect leads.
Strong business acumen, ability to work with engineers, manufacturing managers, CEO’s and purchasing managers.

Strong drive/desire for success in generating revenue. Understanding of technical product sales process.  Persuasive skills to help customers see the value of new innovative products.
Tenacity to make a high volume of contacts by phone, internet and personal visits.
5+ years of experience in technical product business development.  Experience within the plastics industry is ideal and preferred.
A BS degree within a technical discipline or Business is a valued plus, as is an MBA (although proven, related sales success would certainly outweigh these needs.
The Company would prefer someone to be based remotely somewhere in the eastern half of the U.S., preferably somewhere on the East Coast, with access to a major airport.

BRANCH MANAGER –DISTRIBUTION ENVIRONMENT {LOCATION IS HOUSTON, TX – ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES CONSIDERED}:  Global manufacturer of advanced laminates and coated films for the safety, security and energy markets has this immediate need.

The Branch Manager will oversee the daily operations of the branch office including the supervision of the Customer Service Representatives and Warehouse Coordinators.  This is a Distribution operation.

Responsible for full Profit & Loss of the branch.
Responsibility for branch accounting including processing daily invoices/applying cash receipts.
Ensure that a quick/proper response is given to all customer requests.
Provide great customer service/technical assistance to dealers on product and application matters.
Continually take the pulse of customers through informal telephone conversations.
Manage the activities of the branch staff and hold them accountable.

Coordinate/share inventory with other distribution centers and corporate factory as needed.
Continuously coach employees to improve performance and on-board new employees as necessary.
Responsible for interviewing/staffing branch to achieve the highest level of customer service.
